Houston, Texas

Getting to Houston was a bit of a mind blower. This city is big! And really really busy. The first day was spent doing some shopping of a lens for Josh's camera and driving around downtown. However we quickly changed when we got to experience Houston traffic in the middle of the day on a weekday. Horrendous! We couldn't find any parking and we almost gave the van a sunroof when driving down a parking garage that, according to the signs that you can only see once you're on your way in, was too low for our van. We managed to escape and quickly tried to find somewhere to eat outside of the city center. We ended up at California Pizza Kitchen. I had been going on about this place the whole trip since I remember it being one of the best pizzas I ate when I was in Las Vegas two years ago. I was however very disappointed this time since it didn't taste anything like I remembered and I think they changed their menu too. After dinner we headed back to the hotel to chill out. The next day we went to the NASA space center where we got to go on a tour around the space center control room, where the words "Houston, we have a problem" was once uttered, as well as see one of the Apollos inside of a massive hangar. There was also a guide who works in the space center who told us that they are working on landing on Mars by 2020. Roll on!
