Day 2 in NYC

On Sunday we took a long walk. And I mean LONG! The concierge at the hotel told us later that we had walked around 10 miles. Our feet and legs were aching and still are, but we've had no problems falling asleep the last couple of nights.

Since we walked around most of south Manhattan we also got to see a lot of things that you should see if you go to New York. We walked down from our hotel on the south east side of Central Park down the big street called Broadway all the way down to Wall street and Ground Zero. On the way we saw Times Square, the Iron Building, Empire State Building, and Union square. We also walked along the west side by the water which was really refreshing.

It was free to see ground zero but we still had to go through three ticket checks and one security check. A bit excessive I thought for something that is free to see. The actual site was pretty incredible though and you can even see some of the basement stairs from one of the towers that they are protecting with a glass cage.

On Wall Street we could see the site from the latest batman movie when they were robbing the stock exchange. There were also a small group of singers who wanted us to believe in Jesus Christ. I tried hard not to burst into flames.

I will upload more pictures as soon as we have bought a lap top. Stay tuned folks!
