Forgot to say that Hatch print studios was a very animal friendly place. They had a bunch of cats and a dog, non of them particularly shy or interested in the customers.

Nashville, day 2
On the second day in Nashville we went to the Johnny Cash museum, which, to our fortune, only opened this year. Here we could follow Johnny's music career as well as his personal career before and during his fame. On display where personal documents like love letters and identifications as well as his music throughout the years. We could also listen to his music in different formats, from Vinyl and tape to current iPod. I must say that everything sounded a lot better on the 78 rpm LP. There were also film clips from his career as a TV personality in the Johnny Cash show. After the museum we went to buy some posters at the "Hatch Show Print" where all posters for shows and new albums/songs where made back in the day. This is still the place where most posters in Nashville are made for music shows.

Nashville day 1
Finally in Tennessee! Nashville was one of our main stops on this trip so we were really excited when we, after a god night's sleep in a hotel, parked our car in a sunny downtown. The first impression of Nashville was that it was very clean and had a positive atmosphere. Some people started talking to us the second we pulled up with our crazy looking van and everyone we met were generally really friendly. We instantly liked this place! On the first day we went to the Country music hall of fame and museum where we got to see, read about, and listen to the history of country music. For example, not many people know or want to recognize the fact that country music, along with most other musical styles, originates from African banjo music. The museum was very big (and cold) so it took us a couple of hours to see everything. Among the coolest things in there was Johnny Cash's guitar and suit as well as the car of Webb Pierce. This car was decorated with silver guns and had a saddle in the front next to the gear stick. It also had horns of a longhorn in the front. Basically, a very crazy car! We also did a tour to Studio B where Elvis Presley, among other famous music artists, recorded most of his albums. Josh even got to play the piano that Elvis played on when he recorded his songs!
After the museum we walked around the north part of Broadway which is the pounding heart of Nashville. Here you can find cowboy boot shopping, authentic southern cooking and BBQ restaurants, souvenir shopping, and bars. All the bars had live music so we really enjoyed this little strip. This is also where Nashville's nightlife is based, all centering around the music and the musicians. In other words, heaven on earth! The area is also very safe, with a police station just next door, and a very friendly atmosphere all around.
